FAITH: Casting Your Cares with Authentically Aja

HOPE: "Be Alright"

CASTING YOUR CARES

Q: The Bible says in Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) -- “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” If you got the chance to write your own translation of that verse, what would it say?

A: My translation of this would be

faith is believing without seeing. During seasons of uncertainty, faith can oftentimes be the only hope you have! Faith is trusting the unknown outcome, resting on God’s promise, and trusting Him at His word.

Q: How has your faith helped you to have more peace and joy?

A: Have you heard the saying “Don’t pray and worry?” In prayer, I’m turning over all fears, burdens, and worries to God. By doing so I’m able to have more peace and joy. The Bible says to cast our cares... cast your cares onto the one who already has the answer, the solution, and the victory you need. I know that God is for me and not against me.

Q: What are some things someone can do to strengthen their faith?

A: Some ways I suggest for strengthening your faith would be to:

PRAY: Mark 11:23 instructs us to pray without doubt in our hearts. So pray like you really mean it, whether it’s formal or informal be transparent with God; He doesn’t judge. Prayer invites God into our lives and that helps to establish a deeper trust.

READ SCRIPTURES: With a world full of distractions, we must take the time to read God's Word. Knowing the Word of God goes hand in hand with faith. Scriptures can be used as positive affirmations in your life, so speak them over yourself when you feel the spirit of doubt or fear trying to make its way in. Watch how God's Word will bring peace upon you in the midst of any adversity.

HOPE: A Song & Bible Verse to Keep Your Hope Afloat

Sometimes it really feels like things are falling so apart that they'll never come back together and you'll never be alright again. But, the FACTS in Romans 8:28 will be the facts forever. And those facts are, "... in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose."

So, don't give up and don't let go. You're gonna be good! Especially after you listen to Be Alright by Evan and Eris featuring Steven Malcolm.

I'd love to hear how this song spoke to you, so leave a comment!––Ty

Love, Where Are You?

Many singles are feeling pressure to find love and get married. Though I firmly believe in marriage, I realize the road to matrimony is an interesting journey.

Let’s talk about a few ways that you can find love no matter where you are in life.

1- Make yourself spiritually and emotionally available. Is your heart and mind open and ready for love? Often, we desire love but aren’t ready to receive it. Pray and ask God for wisdom and discernment when seeking love.

2- Face to Face or Online? When and where are you most available? More traditional ways of matchmaking involve meeting in person. In this era with more than 70% of adults on social media, online dating is on the rise.

3- Dating or Courting? Dating is a casual social interaction with someone of interest with no time constraint. Courting, a more traditional concept, is a relationship for a set time period with a specific goal in mind: marriage.

You can connect with love that’s close to you or far away. Whether you meet a prospective partner in person or online, be open minded and stay clear about your intentions. You deserve the love that you desire.

Q: Should I use a dating service to find a mate?
